The idea

Most home assistants are thin wrappers around someone else's model, with someone else's limits and someone else's data policy. Kova is the opposite: a single application built around our own models, so the assistant running your home is one we actually made.
At launch, and for some time after, Kova only runs Sential Innovations models. We are not trying to be a universal client on day one. Broader provider support is a direction for later versions, not a promise for launch.

Capabilities
There's no ceiling on what Kova can do.
There are endless possibilities in Kova. You can build a full app from scratch while turning on your TV, all from the same conversation. But that's only the start. Here's a look at what Kova can do:
- Music controlPlay your favorite songs and playlists right in the app, or ask Kova to pull up a web player for any streaming service and log you in.
- Agentic codingAsk Kova to create a project and describe what you want. Kova creates it, plans it out, writes the code, and reasons through the rest on its own.
- Browser controlAsk Kova to complete a task in the built-in browser. It works through the steps and stops at anything tricky, like payments or logins, unless you permit it to use our built-in security system.
- Password vaultStore card and login details right in the app, and set which domains are allowed to use them. Kova can act on your saved details on approved domains without ever seeing the sensitive data itself.
- Task creationSet up tasks yourself, or let Kova set them up, to repeat on a schedule and automate almost anything.
- Smart home controlKova works with a wide range of smart home and TV control, so it can play or do whatever you want on your TV without you touching a remote.
- Speak ModeTalk to Kova instead of typing. Speak Mode is built around real voice-to-voice interaction: the same control typing gives you, but spoken, with Kova speaking back. TTS and STT speed depend on your hardware and what it's doing.
