What the series is for
Hirose is intended to be a generalist with a particular strength in creative work: writing, ideation, art direction, and the open-ended tasks where there is no single right answer. The ambition is range, a model that can help people make things; these are goals rather than measured capabilities.
There is a line we will not cross. Hirose is meant to support human creativity, not to replace it. If it ever begins to outpace people in creative fields, or to take work away from the people who do that work, we will retire it. That is not a rule specific to Hirose; it applies to every model we build.
Direction and principles for the planned first model, Hirose-1, remain at the concept stage. We are sharing the intent, and the limits we are placing on it, before there is anything to run, because those limits are as much the point as the capability is.
