The plan we started with

Our original idea was to make Sential a parent company with several divisions underneath it. Sential Innovations would handle AI and software. We also imagined Sential STAM, Sential Health, Sential Games, and other focused groups. It was a vision for a much larger company, with different teams able to pursue different kinds of work.

Those ideas are exciting. They are also far bigger than what a small, little-known company can responsibly build all at once. Naming divisions is easy; giving each one the people, attention, and resources to do real work is much harder. We do not want an impressive diagram of a company to stand in for a company that actually delivers.

What changes now

We are folding that parent-company structure into Sential Innovations. Sential Innovations is our main company, and Sential remains its short name. When you see either name on this site, they refer to the same company and its work. We are setting aside the separate divisions rather than presenting them as active operations.

Our energy is going into the things already in motion: Kova, Deriva, and the research and model work supporting them. Hikaru and PICO continue at a reduced pace. Other model series remain concepts. This focus should make our updates easier to follow and our priorities easier to judge.

What stays, and what could return

Sential's Palladium is still here. It now works mostly in the background as part of our internal security effort, helping us review and protect the systems we build. It is not a separate public product.

The broader Sential vision is not forbidden forever. If the company grows enough to support distinct divisions properly, we may revisit it. There is no schedule or promise attached to that possibility. For now, one main company gives us a better chance to do the work in front of us well.

We will keep the site and our updates aligned with that reality. Thank you for following along while we make the structure as clear as the work itself.
